Gael Pressoir is a geneticist, plant breeder and plant biologist with a Ph.D. from the School of Agronomy of Montpellier, France.
Gael is heading the sweet sorghum and Jatropha breeding programs.

Jean Rener Joseph, Quisqueya University, CHIBAS |
Jean Rener has a degree in agronomy from Quisqueya University. Jean Rener latter obtained a Master degree in Pest Control and (Biological Functions and Life Technology, FBTV) awarded by the University of Picardie Jules Verne in France. Currently Jean Rener teaches general Plant pathology, general entomology and integrated pest control at Quisqueya University. Jean Rener research projects on Jatropha curcas and Sweet Sorghum include integrated Pest Control and management of agronomic trials.

Edward (Ned) Cundall will soon be joining CHIBAS' team. Ned Cundall is passionate about sustainably improving rural livelihoods, especially through plant-breeding and agronomy and the supply of improved planting material to smallholders. Before joining CHIBAS, he has worked on long-term contracts in both tropical and temperate climates in the tree-improvement of a wide variety of species including oil-palm (Elaeis guineensis), cashew (Anacardium occidentale), coconut (Cocos nucifera), sunflower (Helianthus annuus) and hardwood forest trees including Betula pendula, Fraxinus excelsior, Acer pseudoplatanus, Quercus robur and Q, petraea. He also has made a germplasm collection of Coconuts (Cocos nucifera) and contributed to one for Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis). Familiar with all aspects of genetic field trials including provenance trials, full and half-sib trials, clone trials. Successfully ran a seed-production business (oil-palm) including selection of parents, hand pollination, seed processing and storage, seed quality control and export. His experience of agronomy includes agro-genetic trials, spacing, time of planting, and intercropping. He has worked in both the public sector and for a multinational company. Ned Cundall was educated at the University of Edinburgh (B.Sc, Genetics) and University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (Ph.D in Agricultural Botany).

Yvon Emmanuel Elie is an Agronomist who joined CHIBAS on February 16, 2009. He worked for many reforestation projects and participated in progeny testing for timber production.

Renaud Durosier is a Agriculture Technician graduated from the “Ecole Moyenne en Agriculture de Hinche”. Renaud is responsible for trial management and plantation establishment at CHIBAS’ various trial sites.
